Our Story
Stem Medica is a registered medical importing company committed to distributing medical supplies, devices, and equipment across Ethiopia, with a focus on quality and affordability.
Founded by Mr. Geremew Zewdie, a biomedical engineer and visionary entrepreneur, the organization addresses a pressing issue in his country: the significant gap in healthcare technology and access to quality medical supplies. Despite Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant communities, the nation struggled to deliver adequate healthcare solutions to its population. Recognizing this challenge, the founders of STEM MEDICA seized the opportunity to effect change.
Driven by his passion, Mr. Zewdie endeavored to promote and transfer technology within the manufacturing sector, aiming to close the technology gap in healthcare.
The name "STEM MEDICA" is inspired by the concept of stem cell generation, symbolizing growth, healing, and transformational potential. Just as stem cells can develop into various cell types, the company aspires to foster innovation and adaptability within the healthcare sector.
